Summary: The charming star of Netflix's Queer Eye recounts how he "made it," finding true love, and learning to live truly and honestly.
Rating & Recommendation: 3/5; recommend for the angsty youth in us all
Review: I had the pleasure of seeing Tan France speak at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, and THANK GOD I had the sense to pre-order his book. He’s as lovely in person as he is on paper and on screen.
Naturally Tan is both light-hearted and thoughtful, addressing head-on the topics of discrimination and racism directly alongside issues of celebs in your DMs and the French Tuck. He’s quick, he’s fun, he’s genuine. If you’re a fan of Netflix’s Queer Eye, you may want to check this out. It’s a quick read, and you’ll probably laugh AND cry, but my guess is he’ll have you feeling some kind of way for a while after you finish.
